Holding a Ph.D in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Girona, Spain. And he received Master’s degree in Rubber Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia.

Beside the academic achievements, Dr. Makara has been trained intensively in agro-engineering related subjects. Currently, he is a researcher, working for Department of Agricultural Energy and Environment, Royal University of Agriculture. In BTIC, he is tasked to support energy engineering aspects of the biogas systems.
