Members of the Biogas Technology and Information Center (BTIC) have been trained on alternative use of biogas (other than biogas to energy conversion) from different feedstocks. The training course was held from March 27 to April 4, conducted by an International Expert of the German Biogas Association (FvB). The training was conducted through classroom and hand-on practices at pig farms, tapioca starch processing site, rubber processing site and landfill in order to equip all trainees how to identify the potential locations for feasibility study, how to analyze data and how to compile a report on alternatives to biogas use. For theoretical training, beside BTIC members, there were other trainees from relevant institution including faculty members, students from faculty of agricultural engineering and faculty of Animal Science, representative from National Biodigester Program (NBP) and wastes management company.
