BTIC received a training on EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) for biogas systems from German expert

September 6th, 2017 – Members of Biogas Technology and Information Center (BTIC) received a training on EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) in order to equip themselves knowledge necessary for supervising EPCM related assignments in commercial biogas system installation. This training is conducted under the framework of a project “Reducing greenhouse gas through the promotion of commercial biogas plants”, funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF-5).

A 10-day training cum field assessment on Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) of large-scale biogas was concluded with great results. Let’s hear feedback on the training from our participants. “The training is very useful. I was impressed that the training was very interactive and hand-on practical which allowed me to learn in class and handle biogas measurement and other energy related tools like real-time power logger, making records, and analyzing the results. This really brings up my knowledge in this area of expertise to the next level”, said Mr. Lyhour Hin, Biogas technology team Leader of BTIC. Further added to the above comment, Mr. Mech Sokhom, Practicing Electrical Technician BTIC, said “I learned a lot from this training. The course was designed by taking into account our expertise and knowledge level which allows us to absorb the theory and practice with advanced measurement equipment. I hope to join other technical trainings in the future”. BTIC is the Biogas Technology and Information Center, hosted by the Royal University of Agriculture Cambodia.
