Closing session of the Training course and handover of biogas equipment to BTIC

United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in close collaboration with Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (BIOMA) of China, and UNIDO Center for South-South Industrial Cooperation (UCSSIC), China, successfully organized first part of a training series on Commercial Biogas Technology to equip the center with necessary skills to be able to provide relevant and up-to-date knowledge and information on biogas technology and related areas including policies, trainings, advisory services, research and development in Cambodia. With the aim to develop a pool of local biogas experts to provide the technical services, the training was also extended to national experts from universities and relevant governmental entities. 

Totally, there 26 trainees successfully completed this training course. In addition to the technical trainings, BTIC was equipped with essential IT equipment and biogas equipment required for biogas project feasibility study, amounting to USD26,000. This will considerably enhance both operational and technical capacity of BTIC in carrying out its works effectively.
